PHOTOS | Turkey sighting at Mills!

I came across a female turkey on campus. No one seems to understand my utter excitement.

All photos by Melodie Miu.

It’s my second time seeing her, this time I had a camera ready. I started following her.

I’d make the worst bird watcher or zoologist. Until I Googled it later, I didn’t know whether I found a turkey or pheasant. I was also just horribly noisy.

She walked away, couldn’t be bothered by silly humans.

I walked out of the forest dejected until I spot her walking onto the lawn.

I ran ahead of her to the cement walkway. I stood really still and just waited for her to walk into my clear view.

Gorgeous.

She was a total model, posing and everything. Once I was done, she goes “meh” and walks off.

Bye turkey!

I love this. Great photos, and hilarious commentary. I wonder where she came from?

Thanks Lisa! I like to believe she’s one of the Mills mysteries we aren’t supposed to figure out and just enjoy.
