Whether you love telling meaningful stories, are passionate about learning and conveying information, curious about the world around you or would just like an outlet to showcase your web, design, writing, photography or drawing skills, we have room for you!

Assistant Opinions Editor (Writing experience preferred)
The duties of this position include assisting the Opinions Editor in editing articles submitted to the Opinions section while contributing one story to the section per week. The Assistant Opinions Editor attends weekly staff meetings and production meetings virtually. Stipend position.
Assistant News Editor (Writing experience preferred)
The duties of this position include assisting the Chief News Editor in editing articles submitted to the News section while contributing one story to the section per week. The Assistant News Editor attends weekly staff meetings and production meetings virtually. Stipend position.
The copy editor assists the Copy Chief with copyediting articles according to the Campanil Style guide. The editor will attend productions each week for a certain duration. Stipend position.
The staff writer submits one story to any section per week. The writer will also attend weekly staff meetings virtually to pitch or get assigned a story. On production days, the staff writer will be online for the duration of editing their piece.
A columnist must have a well-planned idea of the theme/subject matter of their column; the piece(s) must be submitted consistently (weekly or biweekly).
Are you a cartoonist, comic strip creator, or illustrator? Consider contributing your work weekly or biweekly to be published on our website! See our comics page for previous submissions.
A contributor may pitch a story to write for the Campanil without the commitment of being on staff. The consistency of the article submissions is based on the contributor’s availability and approval of pitches.

We ask everyone to put away your phones and not conduct private conversations for the duration of the meeting. Please note: The Campanil cannot cover everything but we will help you post about upcoming events and lectures on both our social media.
