I can relate to this so much. People tend to think your struggle with acne is so trivial compared to other health concerns people have…but it has been a serious emotional battle for over ten years of my life. I worked in an elementary school once & had kids asking me all the time, “Miss Mel, what’s wrong with your face?” I’ve also had to deal with family members and co-workers that take me on as their little project to try & fix me. I’ve done every skin care regimen from sulfur soaps to proactive to antibiotic creams. It’s starting to slowly get better, but it still fluctuates and drives me insane. I want to not care–and sometimes I think I don’t–but those select days when I let it get me down are still hard enough to warrant a rant like this. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Melissa, thank YOU so much for sharing your experience! I had an affectionate smile on as I read your comment. It absolutely sucks to still have acne past puberty so it’s rather comforting for me to know that someone, somewhere out there, was able to relate to this haha.
