Speaking directly:

“Being on the swim team gave me a chance to be active in a busy
schedule.

On life at Mills:

Graduating with a degree in Anthropology, but wishes she’d
switched to Ethnic Studies. Said it was 100 percent worth it and
more to be at Mills.

After Mills:

Working at a camp for low-income kids in Petrolia, Calif. and
considering a return to Mills for grad school.

What the coach said:

“I was really glad Ashley was on the team. She had a really
fresh and refreshing outlook and really took the holistic approach
to it. She really just wants to be the best she possibly can.”
