I’d like to point out an error in your April 11, 2002 editorial “Make Mills more visible, she’ll shine”.
You stated that Mills hit a low in enrollment of undergraduates in the year 2001 with 671 students. This is incorrect on two fronts.
First, the referenced number occurred in the year 2000 not 2001.
Second, the number quoted referred to the undergraduate FTE (full-time equivalent) count but the article implied that it was a headcount.
(The FTE count of students is often slightly lower than the headcount because some students enroll in fewer courses than constitute a full-load.)
The undergraduate headcount in 2000 was 691 students (undergraduate headcount in 2001 was 728 students).
